Celebrity Vector - Misha Collins by EmmaEsme Celebrity Vector - Misha Collins by EmmaEsme
Celebrity Vector, Misha Collins. Pictured here as Castiel from Supernatural. I absolutely love when Cas is confused by 'human things' and tilts his head to the side, his expressions are priceless! Misha is amazing as Castiel and has really done a wonderful job portraying him in so many different situations, emotional states and various levels of understanding the 'human world'.

I met him at Salute to Supernatural Vancouver 2016 and he really is a fantastic guy! He's very friendly, light-hearted, and extremely funny... He is co-founder of Random Acts
a non-profit organization that is aiming to conquer the world, one random act of kindness at a time. He also hosts the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen or  GISHWHES (gish-wes) annually in August. I participated for my first time in 2016.

This is a very lovely vector portrait!!

I've done a few but I always go a bit more abstract with large blocks or shapes of color.

I hope you get to do GISHWHES next year! I did it this last year and it was fantastic. Lots of fun weird stuff. Laughter and tears my friend.

Thank you so much! I started out doing vector portraits the same way (abstract large blocks), I have one in my gallery still called "Watching You". Over time I started experimenting with blends and now with each portrait I do, I just keep refining the method.  I've tried gradient meshes as well, but I don't want to go completely realistic, I want the viewer to know it's art, not wonder if it is a photograph, you know what I mean? =)

I'm so sad I missed joining GISHWHES this year... so excited to join the fun in 2016 though! Hope you can join again too! ^^

It's great!

I've tried playing with gradient mesh but that one just confuses me, for me right now too many different points. I do know what you mean wanting people to know that it's art and not a photo. I like trying to get close to a photo, I've got a couple photoshop drawing that are pretty close. But I don't want to take it too far where you can't tell that it's a drawing. I always hate not being able to tell, like it could be a drawing or a photo I don't know!!

I sure hope to join GISHWHES again. It was a lot of fun. =D
